and??? where is the command you time wasters?1 vote
Hi, could you please tell us which command did you mean?
Fix your tutorial https://backlogtool.com/git-guide/en/stepup/stepup2_3.html -- that git commit -m command does not do anything other that output a message that says nothing to commit, working directory clean2 votes
Hi, thank you for your message.
It seems that description in our Guide is correct.
The example shows the output when committing after adding the message “add: Register a change in an index”.

Just to explain the meaning of Backlog2 votes
Hi, we were inspired by the word ‘Backlog’ in Agile methodology.
Sorry but I'm new to this my question is can I use (setup) this to work only for a iPhone 5s? I know all of you are saying this guy doesn't know anything! Lol true but I need to start somewhere right? Thanks for any advice or help2 votes
Hi, if you want to use Backlog for iPhone, please have a look at:
[Backlog for iPhone]
But if you need to use Git on iPhone, I am afraid that you may search the internet for other tutorials.
Bundle this into a PDF for easy downloading and printing :)2 votes
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately there is no plan for the PDF file now. We are sorry about this.
As the tittle, I have many wiki pages with Backlog format.
Today, I need convert all wiki pages to markdown?
Please tell me how can I do this?2 votes
Hi Nam, to change the format from Backlog to Markdown, please click ‘Project Settings’ (top right area) > General tab > choose Markdown for the Formatting Rules, then hit ‘Submit’
For the existing wiki pages, I am afraid that you need to convert the format of contents manually.
Hi, would you please let me know more details? I am sorry but I am not quite sure about your message.
Hi, thank you for your report. We haven’t tested with the browser ‘Orange’, hence we are unable to support it, sorry.
Would you please use other browsers, like IE, Chrome and Safari?

Please update your installation instructions, especially about the part about Git Config. The new version of TortiseGit includes the hierarchical git configuration. It is very confusing what 'Local/Global/System' means and which to choose. It will be helpful if you can explain them in simpler terms in your tutorial.4 votes
Hi, thank you so much for your feedback.
Please select ‘Global’ for ‘Config source’.
The difference of each level:
Local – the current repository settings stored locally in .git/config
Project – settings for the current repository stored within the repository in /.tgitconfig
Global – settings for the current user
System – settings for all users of the system
Kindly have a look at the below Tortoisegit document page:
Explain why you must delete and create a new tag in order to move a tag.3 votes
Hi, thank you so much for your feedback.
We can move a tag with ‘-f’ option, like “git tag -f v1”.
We will delete the sentence “If you want to move a certain tag, you will have to delete it and create a new tag with the same name.”.
There's something wrong with Note on page http://backlogtool.com/git-guide/en/stepup/stepup1_3.html. Explanation is inconsistent with figure below it.2 votes
Hi, thank you so much for the feedback. We have checked the Note part, but are not sure which sentence and part of the figure are inconsistent. Would you please quote the sentence and point out the part of figure?
Thank you for your time!
You know, in china, we can't access any domain name like google, facebook, gravatar etc. So, please forbid these kinds of domain's load on your page. These third part domains hugely affects the use experience of a long time page loading. Thx.3 votes
Hi, thank you for the feedback.
Though we are not sure if loading Google or Facebook button takes a long time as it’s processed asynchronously, we have removed those buttons from the Chinese version of Git Guide.
Please try to open the pages again to see if the loading issue is resolved.
why should I still select what system I use after I've selected the system which I used?3 votesAdminBacklog Support (Admin, backlog) responded
Hi Tom, the selected system on any tutorial page should be remembered for other tutorial pages. We have checked our tutorial pages but couldn’t reproduce the problem.
Please let us know more information so as to investigate the issue.
- Please try to use other browsers to see if the same problem happens.
- If possible, kindly try another pc, as we would like to know if the issue happens in a specific environment only.
